EXCERCISING
Exercising Probes Using Non-Conductive Material:
Q: On the Probilt, when we perform Leakage OD, we use a non conductive material. My question is when exercising can we use a non-conductive material?
A: If you want to exercise on a non-conductive pad, you can set it up for Tip Cleaning. Simply choose veritcal touchdowns as your cleaning method. As long as you have the non-conductive material calibrated and identified as the cleaning material in your test program, there should be no problem, because we use the same strokes for tip cleaning using vertical touchdowns as we do for exercising.
TEST PROGRAM
Test Program and Floating Probes:
Q: When I test this card, there is a probe designated as floating that comes up as a fail, while the probes that are bussed to it come up as passing, even though they have the same value. How can I fix this problem?
A: The definition of a floating probe is one that has no connection. Yours is connected, "bussed, to a number of other probes. Since you've specified it as floating, with the "e_floating" flag in the test program, and connection is being made, it fails. Floating probes are usually signal probes. And since you're doing a bulk planarity test, the values are the same. To correct this problem, simply delete the "e_floating" flag in the test program.
